Enamel recontouring or reshaping is a quick and easy way to correct any minor irregularities in the shape or texture of your teeth. It can correct uneven front teeth, shorten teeth that are too long, round off pointed canine teeth, correct small ships, or resurface them to follow the contour of the upper lip. Recontouring can improve overall dental health since it can eliminate any irregular shapes or grooves that might be a trap for potential plaque or tartar buildup.

Enamelplasty refers to a type of cosmetic treatment where the size and shape of the existing tooth’s enamel surface is removed, or “shaved,” to recontour the tooth in preparation and improving its appearance in preparation for further dental work, usually veneers.
